TackHack IRL: Booking Shopping Appointments at Our Warehouse

Curious about shopping with us "IRL?" We know our appointment system is a little quirky, so we thought we'd give you the down-low on how it works. 

The TackHack is proudly based in Traverse City, Michigan. We're just five minutes down the road from Flintfield's Horse Park, home of Traverse City Horse Shows, The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, and The American Gold Cup. Traverse City is also home to a wonderful local equestrian community that enjoys this beautiful corner of the world from horseback. 

What's Up With the Shopping Appointments: While we're primarily an online business, we keep our warehouse "shoppable" and are thrilled to welcome people on an appointment basis. Why appointments? Our warehouse is tucked into a residential neighborhood; while our site is zoned commercial, we're not zoned for retail, so maintaining regular walk-in hours is a no-go. We also love our neighbors and want to make sure that traffic through our community is kept to a respectful minimum. Finally, the operational necessities of running an eCommerce photography and fulfillment center under one roof also warrants an appointment system. For example, we have to shut the lights off whenever our wonderful team members are here to take product photos...not ideal shopping conditions! 

What to Expect While You're Here: Our appointments are 45 minute blocks with one-on-one attention. I help you get a lay of the land, ask if you're looking for anything in particular, and highlight any awesome treasures that I think would work in your size. We accept all major credit cards. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome to come hang out with Ruby, our resident four-legged friend.

Okay Cool, How do I Sign Up?: We use Calendly to help us run our appointment system. Simply navigate to the calendar signup at the bottom of our website's home page to find an available time to drop by. You'll be presented with blocks of time when we'll be free to give you our complete attention. Simply sign up and you'll receive an appointment confirmation with our address and additional info should you need to cancel.
